Arachnology is the foremost British academic publication on all aspects of Arachnology (excluding Acarology), including discussions of arachnid biology and ecology, descriptions of new species, and information on recent discoveries in arachnology.

Arachnology is edited by Professor Paul Selden of the Paleontological Institute, University of Kansas (former President of the British Arachnological Society) assisted by numerous specialist reviewers.

The Bulletin of the British Arachnological Society was first published in 1969, and was edited for 37 years by Dr Peter Merrett. From 2013, the Bulletin has been renamed Arachnology in order to reflect the international nature of its contents. Three issues are published each year, in Spring, Summer, and Autumn, and three years (nine issues) constitute a Volume. All articles in the Bulletin of the British Arachnological Society (1969–2012) are available for download in pdf format for free. Articles in Arachnology are available for download in pdf format for members only. These electronic reprints are for personal use only, and may not be used for commercial purposes.

Submission of Manuscripts

Submission of manuscripts should be made using the link below. In exceptional circumstances, those without access to the Internet may mail manuscripts to: Prof. Paul A. Selden, Paleontological Institute, University of Kansas, 1475 Jayhawk Boulevard, Lawrence, Kansas 66045, USA.
Email: bbas@ku.edu.

All submissions are sent to at least two reviewers with knowledge of the subject area who can advise the Editor of the suitability of the work for publication in Arachnology as well as providing helpful comments for the author(s). Any length of manuscript will be considered; short notes can be published rapidly, and longer monographic works may be considered by the Society for publication in its Occasional Publication Series.

Please see the most recent issue of Arachnology and consult the Guidance for Authors (inside the journal back cover, and also available here) before submitting your manuscript.
