It is usually found in woodland but has been recorded from acidic grassland, moorland, heathland, wetlands and coastal sites. Crocker and Daws (1996) recorded adult females from January to October in Leicestershire. Adult females can be found throughout the year, mainly in autumn and spring/early summer, but males are mature from late summer through the winter until spring.Status
