On the Margins. The Fen Raft Spiders of Redgrave and Lopham Fen

The fen raft spider is almost certainly the only spider species to have its own artist in residence! This book gives an insight into the lives and conservation of these beautiful and rare animals. Artist Sheila Tilmouth has created amazing images to complement text by Helen Smith, who has worked with the precarious population of spiders at Redgrave & Lopham Fen for over 20 years. With a foreword by Mark Cocker, it was published in October 2014 by Langford Press in their 'Wildlife and People' series. Click here to read more about the artist residency and the book.
