The species is widespread in much of Britain. It is widespread in north-western and central Europe.Habitat and ecology
A sheet-web spinner, characteristic of calcareous grassland habitats but also occurring in other habitat types. Adults have been recorded throughout the year with males particularly active in spring and early summer. Our data suggest peaks in recorded adults in spring, early summer and autumn.Status
