Distribution

This species is known from a single female taken from under stones and debris at Kimmeridge Cliffs, Dorset in 2003. In Europe it is known from France and throughout Mediterranean Europe from Portugal in the West to Greece and Croatia in the East (Platnick & Murphy, 1984).

Habitat and ecology

In southern Europe it has been recorded from the litter of a pine forest, a roadside streambed and under rocks in a field.

Status

While it seems unlikely that this species was introduced accidentally to the cliff at Kimmeridge, until further specimens are found, its exact status in this country remains unclear.

Threats

Until the real status of this species is properly established, it is impossible to determine threats to its survival.
