The information page content type is used specifically for the arachnid information pages which are grouped together in a single section of the website. It is a simple content type, very similar to the basic page content type, but with a couple of extra fields.
There are only two fields are covered in the general content editors help page, so consult that page for further help with those.
The field taxonomy is a drop-down list where you can choose a category with which to associate an inforation page - essentially there is a category for each of the five main arachnid classes dealt with by the information pages. If you create an information page that pertains to spiders, select the category Spiders (Araneae). That way if a user filters the information pages to display only those that pertain to spiders. You can select more than one category though (hold the control key down whilst you click the mouse) in which case the page will be shown if the user filters on any one of the categories you've selected. If you write an information page that pertains to a class of arachnids, then select teh cateogry Arachnids (Arachnida) as well as the category which relates to that class (if it exists).
The best way to understand which cateogory (or categories) you should select is to play with the filtering options on the information pages to see how the current pages are categorised.
The sort order field is there to give some control over where the page is listed. For the most part, you can leave this at the default value of 10. If the page is not appearing in the appropriate sort position, you can contact the webmaster to discuss it. (In general, the lower the number, the higher it appears in the list of information pages.)
